Great North Swim
The Great North Swim, took place 17th-19th June at Lake Windermere.
•The UK's biggest outdoor swimming event
•A 1 mile outdoor swim in beautiful Windermere, Cumbria - with a shorter 1/2 mile event as well as a more demanding 2 mile swim too
•Brilliant challenge for all swimming abilities, from first timers to Olympic champions
•Experience the thrill of open-water swimming, safe in the knowledge expert kayakers and safety boats are with you every stroke of the way
•9,000 swimmers registered in 2010
